Reminder tab

This tab page is only visible when you use reminders for your tasks. Go to Options|Fields to enable reminders. Reminders are given at a specific time before the task is due.

Use reminder

Mark this checkbox to activate the reminder. Only if you check this checkbox, a reminder will be given. When the reminder has been given, this checkbox will be unchecked.

Type of reminder

Select one or more of these options:

- Beep

- Sound

- Speech

For all types, when a reminder is given, a special dialog box is displayed. Furthermore, type "Beep" means that a beep is given through your computer speakers. The type "Sound" means that a selected sound file (WAV-file) is played. The type "Speech" means that a synthetic voice reads the title of the task. This option requires installation of Microsoft SAPI version 5.1 or later, which is available for free download at Microsoft's web site.

If more than one type has been selected, these will be activated in order "Beep", "Sound" and "Speech".

Date and time for reminder

Select when the reminder is given. A default value is set initially, according to the setting in the Defaults tab page in the Options dialog.

If you edit a template for a recurring item, you instead specify the number of days before the due date, that a reminder is given (Professional version only).
