The main window in Easy To-Do consists of these parts:
- menu - toolbar (optional) - To-Do list - notes field for focused task (optional) - status bar
To-Do List The To-Do list is central in Easy To-Do. At the top of the list is the header row which displays captions for the fields.
- To edit a task, double-click on the line or press Enter
- To make a task the subtask of another task, forming a parent-child relationship, select the task that is to be the subtask, hold down Ctrl and drag the task to the task that is to be the parent, and drop it. To release a task from its parent, drag it and drop it outside the list. (Professional version only)
- It is also possible to use drag-and-drop to move a task to another tab page. Hold down Ctrl and drag the task to the new tab page at the top or the bottom of the list. (Professional version only)
- To sort the list click a column header, click one time more to sort in reverse order.
- Sort the list with up to 3 keys, select Tools|Sort from the menu, or press F11.
- To filter the list, select Filter|Edit Filter from the menu or press F10.
- Customize the list display, select Tools|Options from the menu or press F12.
- To quickly move to a task, press the first letter in the title.
- To locate a task, select View|Find from the menu.
- Right click in the list to display a local menu.
- To change the display order of the columns, just drag-and-drop. Click on a column header, press the left mouse button and drag the column header to the desired location.
- To quickly edit the title for a task, click on it and press F2.
- To quickly enter a new task, double-click on a blank space
