Easy To-Do - Configuration

Easy To-Do is extremely flexible, allowing you to customize it in detail. Select Tools|Options from the main menu or press F10 to invoke the customization dialog. This dialog is divided into six tab pages.

The General tab contains application settings, like location of database folder and confirmation messages. The setting “Use system tray” decides whether Easy To-Do minimizes to the system tray bar (in the lower right part of the desktop) or whether it behaves as an ordinary application. The default setting is that Easy To-Do minimizes to the system tray bar. To activate Easy To-Do from the tray bar, just double-click the icon.

The Toolbar tab allows you to select buttons for the toolbar and how these will be ordered.

The Tab Filter tab lets you select how the tab pages in the main To-Do list are organized. As default, they are organized by category.

The Fields page of the Options dialog is important. Here you select which fields that you use for your To-Do tasks and which you display in the To-Do list. You can always start or stop using a particular field at any time. Some fields are required and must be used, like Title or Status.

The List tab page allows you to customize the main To-Do list. For example, you can set fonts and colors for different kind of tasks.

Finally, the Defaults tab page lets you assign initial values for new tasks that are created. This will let you enter new tasks quicker.
